Domestically renowned tourism experts put forward multiple suggestions on how to develop tourism in Binhe New District in Yinchuan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, according to a relevant symposium attended by the organizing committee and representatives on May 7.

Addressing general design and tourism development strategy in Binhe New District, Beijing Hualong Tourism Development and Construction Corporation designed a plan to build Binhe New District into a travel destination making full use of the Yellow River, Great Wall, desert and other immense geological and cultural resources.

According to the general plan put forward by Beijing Jingshitiancheng Tourism Plan, Design and Consultation Company, Binhe New District could be developed into an international Muslim tourism destination, tourism junction connecting scenic spots in northwestern China and a center to facilitate trade and cultural communication between China and Arabian countries.

Binhe New District could display its distinctive cultural and tourism advantages through the construction of an international automobile sports capital, leisure and cultural center, said Wei Xiao’an, the secretary of Leisure and Vacation Branch of China Tourism Association. Binhe New District could also learn from the experiences gained in the construction of the Shenzhen Overseas Chinese Town, Hainan Province and Nanning City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
