Guild hall for Shaanxi immigrants

The Shaanxi Guide Hall was built during Qing Dynasty Emperor Qianlong’s reign. As a communal space for immigrants from the neighboring Shaanxi province, the building was located at Shiqiao town, historically a trade center in central Sichuan and now part of Jianyang city, under Chengdu’s jurisdiction.

Large-sized building materials were composed together with superb architectural technology to complete the guild hall, offering a valuable example of traditional architectures of its kind. It also provides a peek into folk cultures from ancient time.
