The rolling hills around the Huangmaoya Pass to the northeast of Cangxi county, in the northern part of Sichuan Basin, present enchanting views of blossoming peach flowers from late March to early May, with 56 ornamental varieties in florescence. Ancient gingko trees, cypresses, historical architecture, and clear water and forests can also be found among the landscape, as well as the site of the Huangmaoya Battle that broke out in September 1934 and cleared the way for the Red Army troops to head north to fight the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression.
