Chinese redbuds start to blossom in April at Tangjiahe nature reserve in Qingchuan county, Guangyuan, strewing the alpine landscape with pink and milky white hues.

The wild growing shrubs come into florescence at varying times growing at different elevations to form changing views for visitors to admire through the month.

Located in northern Sichuan, the Tangjiahe area among the Minshan Mountains is being preserved as the natural habitat for a wide range of wild animals including giant panda. Its rich biodiversity also includes huge amounts of plants including a number of national rare species.
