Guangyuan launches cherry picking activities

The sixth cherry picking festival opened in Shahe town, Guangyuan city on April 18, attracting participants from other cities with the fun of harvesting sweet, succulent cherries for tasting.

The welcoming locals also presented farmhouse cuisine, art performances, and local specialties for visitors to enjoy.

 

Shahe has a long history of planting cherry trees, according to Wang Wenbo, the Party secretary of the town. There are now six cherry plantations across the town and a cherry blossom admiring site has formed along the Yudong River.
