Qufu, the home of Confucius, with architectural complexes known as "the peak of Oriental culture", is well preserved and has been named by UNESCO as a "world cultural heritage". The Confucian Cemetery occupying more than 200 hectares, this cemetary has served as the family graveyard of Confucius and his descendants for more than 2,300 years. In 1994, the Confucius Temple, the Kong Family Mansion and the Confucian Cemetery were listed as World Cultural Heritage buildings. [China.org.cn]
