Located 2 km from Nêdong County, Shannan Prefecture in the Tibet Autonomous Region of China, Trandruk Monastery was built in the 7th century during the reign of King Songtsen Gampo and has a history of more than 1300 years. The monastery is surrounded by spectacular natural scenery, including blue sky and verdant trees. The monastery comprises of two buildings, including the main hall and Naiding Lakang (a chapel). The main hall of the monastery is similar to that of Jokhang Temple. [bbkz.com]
