The 2012 Asia Badminton Championships will kick off Apr. 17 in Qingdao, Shandong province. The championships will run from Apr. 17-22 at the city's Guoxin Stadium.

The championships are one of last three qualifying competitions for the 2012 London Olympic Games, the tournament will host a record 253 athletes from 21 countries who will participate in 5 individual competitions including men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles.

Tickets are currently on sale and range in price from 20 yuan (US$ 3.18) to 580 yuan (US$ 92.10).
