A total of 519 vacant positions in Qingdao await high-caliber overseas returnees, according to a statement by the Qingdao Labor and Social Security Bureau on August 12.

A public talent recruitment fair oriented towards top-level applicants from Europe and North America will be held in Qingdao City from October 29-30. The vacant positions mainly involve biological medicine, new energy, ocean engineering, new material and some other scientific fields. Most of the enterprises offer good salaries, a huge sum of financial support for research and comfortable accommodations for highly qualified overseas returnees.

The administrative center of the National Deep Sea Base provides each oceanic expert with an initial financial support of 2 million yuan (US$314400) for research and 500,000 yuan for accommodation.
