Women display tea-pouring skills of the Song Dynasty (AD 960-1276) at the Fourth Cross-Straits Tea Art Competition TV Show on August 26. Based on bibliographical search and consulting, the team from a teahouse in Qingdao generally restored tea-separating procedures of the Song Dynasty and presented a visualized conception of ancient tea culture for the audience. It is reported that Chinese tea culture reached its peak during the Song Dynasty with innovative tea-making technologies and delicate tea-sipping manners. The tea-separating procedures then were spread to Japan and exerted great influences on the foundations of Japanese tea culture. [Photo: Xinhua]
