Sino-Japan, Sino-ROK innovation parks begin construction in Qingdao

The Sino-Japan, Sino-ROK innovation parks have started construction in the Qingdao West Coast Economic New Zone, according to its management committee on Sept. 3.

Two first class demonstration parks on Sino-Japan and Sino-ROK cooperation respectively will be established in the area within five years, and hope to exert great influence in northeast Asia. The international cooperation area of Qingdao West Coast Economic New Zone plans to cover 190 square km, with the Sino-Japan, Sino-ROK cooperation parks as the flagships, according to a spokesman for the management committee.

Cooperation sectors of the parks will include standards formulation, intellectual property protection, trade facilitation, new energy resources development, marine biotechnology and so on.
