The Qingdao Party and Government Delegation signed a comprehensive strategic cooperation framework agreement with the City of Weihai, Shandong Province, on September 6.

Sun Shutao, the secretary of CPC Weihai Municipal Committee met with Li Qun, the secretary of CPC Qingdao Municipal Committee, and attended the signing ceremony.

Both Qingdao and Weihai belong to the Shandong Peninsula Blue Economic Zone, and the cooperation space between two cities is broad, said Sun Shutao. He added that the City of Weihai will enhance communication and cooperation in the fields of infrastructure construction, tourism and exhibition industries, emerging industries, market circulation and education in various forms. Li Qun also pointed out that the signing of the cooperation agreement will promote the development of economies in both cities.
