The Kutao Floriculture Ecological Garden in Laoshan District, Qingdao City, was chosen as the branch park of the 2014 Qingdao International Horticultural Exposition, according to the spokesman for Laoshan District.

The Qingdao New City Design Group has won the bid to enhance the layout of the Kutao Garden through two rounds of proposal assessments.

The 80-hectare Kutao Floriculture Ecological Garden, built in 2004 with an investment of 96 million yuan (US$ 15,283,200), features flowers planting and sales, tourism, sightseeing, catering, leisurely facilities and other functions.
