During the eight-day Mid-autumn and National Day holiday, the so-called Golden Week, the Qingdao Development Zone received 867,000 visitors, with tourism revenues totaling at 480 million yuan (US$ 76,416,000), according to the Tourism Bureau of the Qingdao Development Zone.

The Golden Beach, the Qingdao Wild Animal World and the Tangdao Bay received 600,000, 46,000 and 180,000 visitors respectively over the Golden Week. Self-drive travel applied to 70 percent of the total visitors, according to the spokesman.
