The city of Qingdao will accelerate the installation of taxi service information administration systems to realize better administrative management of the taxi system this year, according to the city’s Municipal Traffic and Transportation Committee.

New vehicular terminals installed in each taxi can perform dispatching, alarming, operation analysis, satisfaction measurement, and information release and other functions via new technology. Half of the taxis in the city of Qingdao are expected to receive the devices in April of next year. It is reported that there are some 10,000 taxis are in operation in the city currently.
