Qingdao GDP totals 730 billion in 2012

The Qingdao City’s GDP totaled at 730.21 billion yuan (US$ 117.2 billion) in 2012, according to a press conference held by the municipal government of Qingdao on January 30. The urban per capita disposable income reached 32,145 yuan and the rural per capita net income reached 20,391 yuan.

Based on newly-released statistics, the city’s added value of the primary, secondary and tertiary industries totaled at some 32.44 billion yuan, 340.22 billion yuan and 357.55 billion yuan respectively in 2012. Investment in fixed assets totaled at 415.39 billion yuan, up 22.3 percent year on year. The total volume of retail sales in consumer goods reached 256.45 billion yuan, bearing an increase of 14.9 percent.
