The international sculpture contest of the 2014 International Horticultural Exposition Qingdao had by Feb. 16, 2013 received 750 works by 232 designers from countries such as China, United States, France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Japan, Korea, Egypt, Argentina, according to the organizing committee of the contest.

Among them, 421 works come from 78 China's designers.

The contest is co-sponsored by the executive board of the horticultural expo, China's Sculpture Institute and the National Guiding Committee for Public Sculptures.

The 2014 Qingdao International Horticultural Exposition will run in Baiguoshan Forest Park, Qingdao, from April to October of 2014.
