Chengyang’s district office told reporters of the district’s plans to drive manufacturing business in 2013. The office aims to continually improve manufacturing industry, increase its service sector’s share in GDP, accelerate scientific and technological(S&T) progress to stimulate economic growth, enhance industry concentration and put the regional economy on the track of endogenous growth driven by innovation.
Chengyang’s plans for the year will focus on 59 key industrial projects developing advanced manufacturing industry. Chengyang will also look to accelerate its modern logistics technology. The value-added of Chengyang’s tertiary industry is expected to increase by 15.5%, and its share in GDP is expected to increase by 1.6 percent.
This year will also see Chengyang launch its S&T innovation and development strategy. Enterprise innovation will be encouraged by various activities, such as competition.
In 2013, Chengyang District will continue to optimize allocation of resources and enhance industry concentration according to its overall development plan.
