The Qingdao members of the 24th medical team of Shandong province to Tanzania started returning home on Nov. 20, after completing a two-year medical aid dispatch.

Shandong started sending medical teams to Tanzania in 1968. The 24th team contained 22 members including six from Qingdao. After six-month training the medical team departed for the African country in August 2015.

Three of the Qingdao members came from the Qingdao Municipal Hospital. The hospital has send 13 dispatches containing 20 members to Tanzania since 1968.
