The Musicdo international music center program was launched at the Jimo economic zone in Qingdao, Shandong province on Nov. 18, as part of the characteristic music town project.

The international music center covers a 20,000 square meters’ area, as collaboration between Germany’s Julius Blüthner Pianofortefabrik GmbH and Guangzhou-based Musicdo Co, at the 1 million square meters’ music town.

The international music center will encompass musical instrument experience, music education, musical instrument museum, and activity center.

Absorbing a total investment of 2 billion yuan, the music town houses not only the international music center, also a Bluthner theater and concert halls. After opening in April, the Bluthner Theater has hosted 20 more high-end performances including concerts, stage plays, and traditional operas.

Carrying forward the profound cultural and art traditions of the region, the music town project will integrate music instrument experience, music study and composition, art performance and art education.

The Longquan Lake runs across the music town from south to north. Verdant plants cover the open spaces.
