With an investment of 27 billion yuan, Huahongwan International Tourism Resort will take shape in Jiaozhou city in the next six years, offering a comprehensive tourism facility for all ages.

Officials of Hong Kong-based RK Properties Co, the investor of the project, and Jiaozhou government attended the signing ceremony of an agreement for strategic cooperation on Nov. 25.

According to plans disclosed, the project will take up 186 hectares on the banks of Jiaozhou Bay. It will be able to accommodate 30,000 to 50,000 tourists at the same time, and 15 million to 25 million tourists annually.

The resort will integrate ocean-themed park, indoor facilities for ice and snow sports, virtual reality technology-aided adventure tourism experience, cultural tourism, theme hotels and theme commercial streets.

The estimated yearly income will be 5 to 6 billion yuan.
