The 12th China Beijing International High-tech Expo has taken place in Beijing. Despite the global financial crisis and the outbreak of the A/H1N1 flu, the expo still drew more than 22-hundred high-tech enterprises from home and abroad.

The theme of the expo is green high-tech, featuring solar energy, non-polluting materials, environmental protection products and energy saving technology.
Wang Shuzhong, one exhibitor said "We have developed electricity-saving technology for power-generation plants. About ten million tons of fuel could be saved if our technology is put into use in all the power stations in China."
Liu Hongguo, one exhibitor said "Green high-tech is inevitable against the backdrop of the financial crisis and an energy shortage. Humans must make good use of natural power like solar and wind power."
The 12th Chitec has drawn more than 400 guests and 51 delegations from 8 international organizations and 27 countries and regions. A series of theme forums are also expected to take place during the exhibition period. The Expo will last until May the 24th.
