Latest figures show that 560 million journeys have been made during the 8-day long National Day holiday.

Nearly 500 million journeys were made by road. And the number was more than 60 million on Thursday. The railways are estimated to have taken 60 million passenger travels during the holiday.

The figure on October 1st set a new record high of nearly 7 million. The airlines have seen more than 40,000 flights concerning over 5 million trips. That's almost 8 percent more than the same period last year.
