Massive rally in DPRK in support of new leader

A massive rally has been held in Pyongyang, the capital of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea to demonstrate people's solidarity despite the loss of their late leader Kim Jong Il.

The people in the rally have also reaffirmed their allegiance to their new leader Kim Jong Un, and the country's drive to build a strong socialist country.
Solidarity was the theme of Monday's massive rally in Pyongyang.
The country is still in deep sorrow over the loss of their late leader Kim Jong Il. But the 100,000 people gathered at Kim Il Sung Square say they will carry on his legacy and stride forward.
Mun Gyong Dok, SNR Secretary of Pyongyang Municipal Workers' Party C'ttee, said, "We once again keep deep in our minds that the victory of building powerful and prosperous nation is certain, as long as there are the invincible party, army and state strengthened and developed by our great General, and the wise leadership of respected Kim Jong Un, and great people who are faithful to their leader throughout the generations to come."
The DPRK people are putting huge trust in their new leader.
The KCNA released photos showing the young leader visit a tank division on New Year's day. This is apparently his first reported military field inspection since his father's death. He has been officially named supreme commander of the military.
The DPRK's three main newspapers issued a joint New Year editorial, calling on the army and people to unite and firmly support Kim Jong Un's leadership.
The editorial also asks for innovation in basic industries such as power and coal-mining. It calls for building a powerful country with a knowledge-based economy and making the DPRK a highly civilized, socialist country.
