A new photo book "Unbeatable" covering the 2010 World Expo was released recently in host city, Shanghai. |
The book named The Unbeatable includes 480 photos and blueprints from the largest ever World Expo. Most of the pictures were taken by the Spanish family that self-published the book in co-operation with the International Exhibition Bureau.
Detlef Stuebe, co-producer of "Unbeatable", said, "One of them is the China Pavilion which is really big and exciting symbolizing the Chinese culture and Chinese history, but also the Chinese people. That's where we came to the jade block. It's treasure from Maori from New Zealand. And this old lady laying her head on this jade block and smiles. This is one of the most touching moments during the Expo."
Monika Stuebe, co-producer of "Unbeatable", said, "When I came home people ask what are you doing, and I told about the job here. And I explain all about, I had to talk. They are so curious of getting information about Shanghai Expo. I was so impressed and they said it's a pitty that news gave us just a little bit information at the beginning."
The 380 page coffee-table book is available online for 99 US dollars. Since the Shanghai World Expo wrapped up in October 2010, more than 1,000 books have been published worldwide about the event.
