Animals' tricks to 'survive' the hot summer

When high temperatures are forcing people to find new ways of cooling off, our animal friends have been coming up with some of their own special methods.

Here at Hangzhou Zoo, the brown bear likes to stay a little longer in the water, and have a good splash around. Despite its African origins, the giraffe’s struggling in the sunshine and needs a place to freshen up. Baboons are the lucky ones. They can wrap their hands around a delicious ice cream. But the kings of cool are the pandas - China’s national treasure. They’ve been enjoying full-on air conditioning for the last two months, along with some ice-cool fruits.
