There are only a few people whose words hold that kind of weight now -- and FIFA's world reigning player of the year, could be one of those -- especially when it comes to his health and his problematic knee. But Cristiano Ronaldo is reassuring his club and army of followers.

During a promotional shoot in Japan that he is fit and raring to go ahead of the new season. The Real Madrid forward was troubled by the joint during the end of the Champions League campaign this spring and was a shadow of his self as Portugal crashed out of the World Cup in the group stages.

Ronaldo arrived in Japan on Monday to promote Japanese beauty products. (Of course he would) He is scheduled to travel to Nagoya, central Japan, on Wednesday to hold further promotional events. This is his second visit to Japan following his tour to the country in 2008 when Manchester United, then his team, participated in the FIFA Club World Cup. There were fears over his knee injury, but speaking in Tokyo, Ronaldo was eager to allay those concerns.

"My injury is gone, I feel very very good and I wanna start the league and the final in good and good shape. And I will try my best for whole of the season like I do it every year. I try to be the best and try to help my team, try to score goals and try to win the titles. This is my goal for every season to prepare myself for 100 % and for me, every season is the challenge. So, I want to be good," Cristiano Ronaldo said.
