Investigators told a press conference on Saturday that data from the two black boxes of Taiwan's crashed plane have been downloaded.
There had been reports the flight recorders had been damaged, but investigators say they have managed to retrieve 138 data items including the cockpit voice recording and flight data.
Investigators say it will take three to four months to document all the events that led to the crash, but a preliminary report will be released by next Friday. Meanwhile at the scene of the crash, the search for evidence continues.
A new point of impact has been found in a forested area north of the village into which it crashed. Investigators say the plane might have first hit trees, before smashing into homes in the village.
