The roads in Mong Kok have been paralysed by the Occupy Central movement for many days. And local residents continue to express their extreme disapproval of the protesters' actions.

"Why are you occupying this area? Do you have any contribution to Hong Kong? No, you don't! What you have contributed is the chaos? Just more problems and an unstable society! Do you know that?!" A local resident said.

"I believe the movement has been backed by foreign powers. One of my friends has been paid to join the movement. I asked him...he said his boss took the money and told him to take part in the movement. His boss said he would be fired if he refused. He took 2,500 Hong Kong dollars for two days. I think the divergence among the Hong Kong people is getting deeper. I feel so heartbroken to see our lives get messy. I have lived here for decades and our life used to be peaceful. Now it turns to chaos because of the infiltration of foreign powers." A local resident said.
