Hong Kong police are set to clear the last remaining protest site in Yee Wo street at Causeway Bay early on Monday morning. It comes after other major camps were dismantled last week.

Police called on protesters to cooperate and to avoid unnecessary confrontation. Police say they'll only use force if they're obstructed by protesters, or if protesters refuse to leave. The whole area will be cordoned off during the operation. Authorities have ordered that roads in the area be cleared as quickly as possible. Yee Wo street is an important tramline hub linking east and west Hong Kong. A disruption in the area adds pressure to other traffic systems in the city. Statistics showed more than 270 bus routes were affected by the occupy movement, accounting for nearly 50 percent of the public traffic system.

"The illegal Occupy Central movement not only undermines the legal system, but also daily business operations. It damages Hong Kong's image. It does not in any way help to promote the development of democratic process," Gary Chan Hak-Kan, member of Hong Kong's Legislative Council, said.
