The Swiss-built plane is en route to Mandalay in Myanmar after a week-long stopover in India. The no-fuel flight landed in Varanasi on Wednesday. The Solar Impulse 2 is on the fourth leg of its 35-thousand-kilometer journey around the globe.

After a stopover in Myanmar, the plane will head to China. Then it will cross the Pacific Ocean, the United States, the Atlantic and southern Europe, before it arrives back in Abu Dhabi by late July. It took 12 years to design and build the plane.
