China is on the highest alert as a super typhoon approaches the eastern coast with winds of nearly 200 kilometers per hour. "Chan-Hom" is expected to land between the coastal areas of Zhejiang and Fujian provinces tonight or Saturday morning.

In Zhejiang, more than 10-thousand people have been evacuated and thousands of fishing vessels have returned to port.

Authorities in Fujian have ordered relocation of all people on coastal fishing farms.

Further south in Taiwan, businesses and schools have closed, as residents prepared for heavy rain and strong winds.

Typhoon Chan-hom is closing in on China right after another Typhoon Linfa made landfall in the southern Guangdong Province, and brought torrential rain to the coastal area. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported.
