Are you ready to rock? People at China's most popular grassland music event, Zhangbei Music Fair, in Zhangbei County, Hebei province, certainly are.

Music fair opens in northern China

This is the annual summit of rock and roll fans in China. The popular open-air music fair held in Zhangbei of the Zhangjiakou City is attracting tens of thousands of tourists from across China, who are getting ready to rock out.

This year, more than 60 bands are slated to play at the fair. That includes some of the most famous rock and roll bands and singers in China and even several oversea bands, such as the British band Happy Mondays.

The fair is surely not lacking energy. People either looking for a few days escape from the city or trying to have a unique music experience will find both here.

For the first time this year, the event will be streamed live online.

The fair will last for three days until Sunday evening, and as the county's biggest tourism draw, it is hoping to help tp the two billion Yuan from last year's tourism.
