The parade will take place in the heart of the capital and it runs through the main thoroughfare of Beijing. The parade will be held on Chang'an Avenue in front of Tiananmen Tower, the world is watching on how China's troops march through Tiananmen Square.

I know you did a computer generated rendering of the geography.

It is actually a virtual look at the venue which has very significant meaning for the nation and the people.

Where I am standing is the Tiananmen Rostrum, the signature building on the square. It was at this exact spot that Mao Zedong proclaimed the creation of the People's Republic of China in 1949. On the day of the parade, President Xi Jinping, along with foreign leaders will be standing right here. "The military parade will begin with a 70-gunshot salute at Zhengyangmen, more commonly known as Qianmen. It is a gateway to old Beijing, located on the north-south axis running through the historical center of the city. First built in the Ming Dynasty, it was main gate to the imperial city inside, and remains an important geographical marker nowadays. After the national flag is raised, President Xi will give a speech here. He will then inspect the troops from a limousine travelling along Chang'an Avenue, which is the east-west axis that runs across the capital. After the inspection, soldiers will march in formation from east to west along the Avenue, with world leaders watching the parade from the Rostrum and the reviewing stands. Along the route are some very significant historical buildings. Behind me in the distance is the National Museum of China, which is the largest museum in the world by size. Over 1.2 million historic artifacts and contemporary collections are spread through more than 40 halls. After numerous refurbishments over nearly 60 years since its establishment, the museum truly bears witness to China’s long road to revival. To its west is the famous Tiananmen square, one of the largest public squares in the world. It covers an area of 61 football fields. In the Middle of Tiananmen Square is the Chairman Mao Memorial Hall, or the Mao Mausoleum. It is the final resting place of Mao Zedong and was built in 1977 after he passed away. Chairman Mao’s body was embalmed and placed in the hall for people to pay tribute. North of the Mao Mausoleum stands the towering Monument to the People’s Heroes. Erected in 1958, this ten-story Monument pays tribute to those who sacrificed their lives for the liberation of China, from the first opium war in 1840 till the founding of the People’s Republic in 1949. If we look further west, we see the Great Hall of the People. It serves as the venue of the annual session of China’s top legislature -- the National People's Congress, as well as the country’s top political advisory body -- the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. Apart from the two important meetings, the hall is also used for many other special events, such as state level meetings, large anniversary celebrations, as well as memorial services for former leaders.
