The two peacekeepers, Li Lei and Yang Shupeng, were killed in early July after the armored vehicle they were travelling in was hit by a mortar shell during clashes between rival army factions.

Two other Chinese peacekeepers who were injured in the attack are also on the flight, along with 25 Chinese citizen evacuated from South Sudan.
