Storms leave 114 dead, 111 missing in Hebei

Heavy rain has left 114 people dead, 111 others missing, and over 300,000 evacuated in northern China's Hebei Province.

Local government said about 150 counties and districts in the province have been affected. In Xingtai, one of the worst-hit cities, 25 people have been killed and 13 others are still missing.

The provincial government has allocated a relief fund of over one hundred million yuan, or about 15 million dollars, to the worst-hit areas.

Working groups were also dispatched to those regions to help with disaster relief and reconstruction.
