China's FDI up for fifth consecutive month in Dec.

The amount of foreign direct investment (FDI) China received rose for the fifth consecutive month in December, up 103 percent year on year to 12.1 billion U.S. dollars, said Yao Jian, spokesman of the Ministry of Commerce here on Friday.

This brought the country's FDI to 90.03 billion U.S. dollars in 2009, down 2.6 percent from that in 2008.
