Kyrgyzstan's interim government said Monday it would offer up to 100,000 U.S. dollars for information leading to the arrest of ex-president Kurmanbek Bakiyev and his aides.

The interim government will pay from 20,000 U.S. dollars to 100,000 dollars for valuable information leading to the arrest of the wanted criminals, said Kyrgyz official news agency Kabar, quoting a statement from an interim government commission.

The statement said some former government officials, including former prime minister Daniyar Usenov and Bakiyev's son Maxim Bakiyev, were suspected of having committed serious crimes and would be prosecuted by the interim government.

Bakiyev was forced to go into exile in Belarus after a large number of opposition supporters stormed and overran his office in Bishkek in April.

The opposition-formed Kyrgyz interim government decided on April 26 to deprive Bakiyev of his immunity and charged him for the abuse of power and organized murder. It said that an extradition request would be soon presented to the Belarusian authorities.

The interim government is scheduled to hold a referendum on a revised constitution on June 27 and parliamentary elections on Oct. 10.
