A vehicle belonging to the UN was set on fire in Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire, the Associated Press reported Thursday, citing witnesses.

The report said it was unclear whether there were casualties, and how the vehicle was set on fire also remained unknown.

Situation has been tense in the western African country since two candidates, Laurent Gbagbo and Alassane Ouattara, both claimed themselves president of the nation following a November poll.
