At least ten construction workers fell to their death after a scaffolding on a building that they were working on collapsed in Philippines' financial district Thursday, local media ANC reported.

An undetermined number of people meanwhile were feared to be dead or injured, Philippine Star reported, quoting Police Chief Superintendent Froilan Bonifacio.

Reports said the incident occurred around 11:45 a.m. from the 34th floor of the 40-storey Eton Residences along Paseo de Roxas in Makati in Central Philippines. The building is currently under construction when the scaffolding gave way.
