The loss of kinship has 'seriously' stunted their growth and development

58 million children in rural areas are left behind while their parents went off to the cities for work. The loss of kinship has "seriously" stunted their growth and development.
Many migrant workers cite concern for their children for why they don't want to work elsewhere again, Guangzhou Daily reports.
Statistics from the All-China Women's Federation show that 58 million children in rural areas are left behind while their parents went off to the cities for work. Among them, 30% have parents who have been working in cities for more than five years. The loss of kinship has "seriously" stunted their growth and development, according to the organization.
