China, Russia remain on US worst pirates list

The Office of the US Trade Representative issued its annual 301 Report Monday, with China and Russia topping its list of countries with the worst performance in preventing piracy and IPR infringement.

It is the 14th straignt year for Russia to enter the list and the seventh year for China to be listed.

The US Trade Representative's office also issued an "open invitation" which called the dozens of countries listed in the report to work together on an action plan to resolve US concerns.

"This year's Special 301 Report comes with a call to action for our trading partners," US.Trade Representative Ron Kirk said in a statement. "We are ready to work intensively with you to stop intellectual property theft that threatens IP-related jobs in the United States and other countries."
