5.2-magnitude earthquake hits Taiwan

An earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale jolted Taiwan at 9:34 a.m. Beijing Time Sunday, according to the China Earthquake Network Center.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10 km, was monitored at 24.1 degrees north latitude and 121.7 degrees east longitude, the center said in a statement.
