China Daily, June 8, 2011

The family of a man in Zhongshan who died suddenly on May 20 is claiming 650,000 yuan (US$100,000) in compensation from his employer.

Luo Diming, 37, was a textile worker in a garment factory providing a customized service for companies such as Adidas, Anta, Peak and Xtep. Luo's family claim that his death was caused by his heavy workload for 10 consecutive days and asked the factory for compensation.

However, the company said it is only willing to pay about 40,000 yuan because Luo died of his chronic asthma.
