'Swan Lake' by Russian state ballet

Swan Lake 

The Russian State Ballet will perform its acclaimed version of "Swan Lake" on October 4 and 5 at the Shanghai Oriental Art Center. On October 6, it will perform scenes from famous ballets.

The lavish productions by the renowned company are accompanied by a full symphony orchestra. There are many ballet versions of "Swan Lake" and twists in the love story about prince Siegfried and princess Odette who is cursed to live as a swan by day and woman by night.

The Russian State Ballet's interpretation of "Swan Lake" has been praised by critics for retaining the original classical form while infusing it with passion and power.

The ballet features dazzling costumes and stage sets.

On October 6, the company will also perform famous scenes from "Giselle," "The Nutcracker" and "A Carnival Evening." The second part of the show will be a one-act version of "Don Quixote."
