'Luo•Love' to win Macau Int'l Film Festival

The winners of the Golden Lotus Awards were announced at the third installment of the Macau International Film Festival, on December 7th. The film "Luo•Love" describes a relationship between members of Yunnan province's ethnic minority group. It won the Excellent Producer Award and was nominated for the Best Music Award, qq.com reports.

As the latest work of Chinese director Shi Fenghe, the film "Luo•Love" stars the established Niu Ben and young up-and-coming performers Na Yisha and Tie Zheng. It tells a legendary Yunnan tale before a backdrop of magnificent views of the Chinese borderland. It's a moving story about love for one's beloved, for one's family and for one's homeland.

"Luo•Love" faced fierce competition for the Macau International Film Festival's Golden Lotus Awards, which sets up awards for Best Feature Film, Excellent Producer, Best Director, Best Actor and Best Music.

Films from countries and regions including Chinese mainland, Taiwan, America, Japan and Korea all entered the third installment of the Macau International Film Festival, showing the festival's steady growth, and the intensifying competition between film entries.

The film festival ran from December 5 to 7.
