China, Russia hold naval drill

Chinese and Russian warships joined a drill Thursday morning in the Yellow Sea of the Pacific Ocean.

In the Yellow Sea, today's the fourth day of the Chinese and Russian joint naval drills. It's been the busiest day so far, with numerous missions in the air and sea. It's another day of tough drills for both countries' elite naval forces, and today's schedule is the busiest. Topping the agenda are joint air defense, anti-submarine, search and rescue and resupply exercises. [cntv.cn]

A total of 13 warships, four helicopters and two teams of special forces participated in the drill, focusing on marine escorts and anti-hijacking activities which involved no weapons. The drill lasted 67 minutes.

The naval exercise would also see live-fire operations as it was scheduled.
