5.4-magnitude quake jolts Xinjiang

An earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale jolted Luntai County in northern Xinjiang at 5:51 a.m. (Beijing Time) on Friday, according to the China Earthquake Network Center(CENC).

The epicenter, with a depth of 20 km, was monitored at 42.2 degrees north latitude and 84.2 degrees east longitude, the center said.
