Yinchuan's Mingcui Lake National Wetland Park, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, won the award of China's Best Wetland in Ecological Conservation due to its rich biological diversities and spectacular landscape in 2011.

The park and five other wetland attractions emerged out of nearly 700 national and regional wetland candidates that took on a comprehensive review in the campaign "Find the Most Beautiful Wetland in China." The contest was organized by China Economy Weekly and the branch office of the Wetlands International in China over the past ten month. [China.org.cn]
