Thunderstorms are forecast for most regions in north China over the next three days, the National Meteorological Center (NMC) said on Tuesday.
Some areas in the north, northeast and northwest will be hit by moderate to heavy rain, with strong winds or hail, the center forecast in a statement.
From Tuesday to Wednesday, mild to heavy rain will sweep the central areas of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau.
The NMC also forecast torrential rain in areas along the Yangtze and Huaihe rivers, as well as regions south of the Yangtze River. Precipitation will reach up to 100 to 120 mm in some areas.
